Summary

The article substantiates the determination of the production capacity of the assembly shop of a machine-building plant. Calculation of production capacities is the most important part of the technical and economic substantiation of the industrial production plan. On its basis, the possible volume of industrial production is established, and in comparison with the national economic need for it, the necessary increase in production capacity due to technical re-equipment, reconstruction, expansion of existing and construction of new enterprises is determined. The assembly technology depends on the production organization. In custom production, assembly of products is mostly performed by a team of workers on the same workbench. In serial production, assembly is divided into stages: subassembly and then assembly. The area of the assembly shop includes the area occupied by the production line, assembly devices, testing areas, painting areas and product assembly areas. The production capacity of assembly shops is calculated by main production areas and production lines (conveyors). The basis for calculating the production capacity of the assembly shop should be advanced technical standards of labor intensity, which are estimated values.

The standard area for assembling products is calculated based on the area occupied by the product itself, components, assembler workstations, and work aisles. The procedure for calculating the labor intensity of product assembly, taking into account the degree of fulfillment of production standards and the expansion of the work front, is presented. Under these conditions, the production capacity of the workshop is 119.0% as of January 1, 2026 and 140% as of January 1, 2027. Thus, the production program of the assembly workshop can be successfully implemented. In relation to the production area, calculations are made for its occupancy, “bottlenecks and wide spaces” are identified and organizational and technical measures are developed to level them out.

A more detailed procedure for the breakdown of production capacity will allow enterprises, such as warehouses and collection shops, to more accurately determine the maximum output of products, so that the production capacity of the workshop can be determined.
