CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY
The editorial board of the scientific journal "Bulletin of the Chernivtsi Trade and Economic Institute" pays special attention to ensuring transparency and objectivity of scientific publications. To this end, the journal adheres to the principles of open declaration of conflict of interest by all participants in the publication process.
The journal's policy is based on the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
A conflict of interest may arise in cases where personal, financial, or professional interests may influence the objectivity of the research, its interpretation, or the publication process.
Conflicts of interest can be:
• financial;
• professional;
• institutional;
• personal.
Authors must:
• declare any potential conflicts of interest when submitting a manuscript;

• indicate the role of funding organizations in conducting the research.
Information about the conflict of interest or its absence is published directly in the article.
Reviewers must:
• inform the editorial office of any potential conflict of interest;
• refuse to review in case of a conflict of interest;
• ensure objectivity and impartiality of the assessment.
Journal editors should:
• avoid reviewing manuscripts in which there is a conflict of interest;
• ensure transparency of editorial decisions;
• appoint independent editors or reviewers in the event of a conflict of interest.
All participants in the publication process must openly declare potential conflicts of interest.
If there is no conflict of interest, authors must state in the article:
"The authors declare no conflict of interest".
In the event of a hidden conflict of interest being identified, the editorial office may:
• request clarification or correction of information;
• publish an editorial message;
• withdraw the article;
• notify the authors' academic institution.
All cases are reviewed in accordance with COPE guidelines.
