PRIVACY POLICY
The editorial board of the journal "Bulletin of the Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics" ensures the confidentiality of all materials submitted to the editorial office, as well as the personal data of authors, reviewers, editors and other participants in the editorial and publishing process.
The editorial board adheres to international standards of publication ethics and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Use of personal data
Personal data of authors, reviewers, editors and other persons registered on the Journal website are used solely for the purpose of organizing the editorial and publishing process, in particular for:
• submission and review of manuscripts;
• conducting a review procedure;
• editorial preparation and publication of articles;
• communication with authors and reviewers.
The editorial office does not transfer personal data to third parties and does not use them for any other purpose, except in cases provided for by law.
Confidentiality of submitted manuscripts
All manuscripts submitted to the Journal are treated as confidential documents and are the intellectual property of the authors.
Authors entrust the editorial board with the results of their scientific research, on which their scientific reputation and further professional activities may depend. Therefore, the editorial board ensures an appropriate level of protection of the information contained in submitted manuscripts.
Confidentiality of the review process
During editorial review and review of manuscripts, it is prohibited to disclose any information regarding:
• the content of the manuscript or its parts;
• the status of the manuscript in the editorial process;
• comments and recommendations from reviewers;
• interim or final review results.
The journal uses double-blind peer review, which ensures mutual anonymity between authors and reviewers.
The editorial board ensures the confidentiality of the names and affiliations of reviewers both during the review process and after publication of the article.
Responsibilities of reviewers
Reviewers are required to:
• keep manuscripts and all related materials confidential;
• not to transfer them to third parties without the permission of the editorial office;
• not to use ideas, data or research results before publication of the article;
• notify the editorial office if a conflict of interest is identified.
Restricting access to materials
The editorial board rejects any requests from third parties for access to manuscripts or materials submitted for publication.
Reviewer comments, review materials, and editorial decisions may not be published without the consent of the author, reviewer, and editor-in-chief.
Storage of materials
Materials related to the editorial process are used solely for editorial purposes.
The editorial office does not retain copies of rejected manuscripts and ensures an appropriate level of protection of information used during the editorial process.
Post-publication privacy
After publication of the article, the editorial board continues to ensure the confidentiality of review materials and reviewers' personal data.
Information about the review process, reviewer comments, and internal editorial materials are not subject to disclosure without appropriate permission.
