FAIR DATA USE POLICY
The Scientific Journal "Bulletin of the Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics" supports the principles of open science and adheres to approaches to research data management in accordance with the FAIR concept.
The research data underlying the results published in the journal must comply with the following principles:
Findable
Data should be searchable through open or institutional repositories and accompanied by appropriate metadata and persistent identifiers (e.g., DOI).
Accessible
Data should be available for review and verification through public platforms or upon reasonable request. In the case of restricted access, authors should state the reasons for such restrictions.
Interoperable
Data should be presented in standardized formats and accompanied by structured metadata that ensures their use with other datasets and information systems.
Reusable
The data should be sufficiently described to allow for reuse in further research, with an indication of the terms of use and appropriate licenses.
Authors of manuscripts must:
• ensure proper preservation of research data that support research results; if possible, place data in open scientific repositories;
• provide a Data Availability Statement in the article;
• indicate the reference or dataset identifier (DOI or other persistent identifier);
• provide access to data for the editorial team and reviewers during the review process as needed.
A reference to the research dataset is included in the list of references. Authors should cite references in accordance with APA style (7th edition).
To store research data, authors may use public or institutional repositories, including: Zenodo, Figshare, Dryad, OpenScience Framework (OSF), the Open Data Repository of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (DataverseUA), or other relevant scientific platforms.
Ethical and legal constraints
In cases where the data contain personal, confidential or other information with restricted access, authors must ensure their anonymization or indicate reasonable access restrictions in accordance with ethical and legal norms.
Policy compliance
The Journal reserves the right to verify access to research data and may request additional information regarding their availability. Failure to comply with this policy may result in rejection of the manuscript.
Recommendations for the presentation of information about the availability of materials and data that underlie the results of the publication are set out in the guidelines for reflecting the implementation of scientific publishing policies.
