POLICY ON RESEARCH INVOLVING ANIMALS
AND BIOLOGICAL MATERIALS
The editorial board of the scientific journal "Bulletin of the Chernivtsi Trade and Economic Institute" supports high standards of ethics in conducting scientific research, in particular research involving the use of animals or biological materials.
The journal requires that all research be conducted in accordance with international and national ethical norms and standards, including recommendations to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), as well as relevant legislation on animal protection and bioethics.

• minimize pain, suffering, and stress during experiments;
• obtain appropriate permission from the animal research ethics committee or other authorized body.
The manuscript must state:
• the name of the institution or committee that granted ethical approval;
• ethical approval number or code (if available);
• confirmation of compliance with ethical standards during the research.
The editorial board reserves the right to request additional documents confirming ethical approval of the study.
Use of biological materials
In the case of using biological materials (tissues, cell cultures, biological samples, etc.), authors must ensure:
• legal origin of biological materials;
• compliance with relevant bioethical standards;
• availability of permits for the use of biomaterials in research.
If the study involves biological materials obtained from living organisms, the authors must confirm that the samples were obtained in accordance with ethical standards and legal requirements.
All research involving the use of animals or biological materials must be approved by the appropriate research ethics committee.
The article must state:
• the name of the ethics committee;
• protocol or permit number;
• study approval date (if available).
If ethical approval was not required according to country law, authors should provide an explanation in the manuscript.
The authors are responsible for:
• compliance with ethical standards for conducting research;
• the reliability of information regarding the use of animals or biomaterials;
• providing complete information about the permits obtained.
Providing false information regarding ethical approval of a study is considered a violation of academic integrity.
In the event of violations of ethical standards, the journal's editorial board may:
• reject the manuscript;
• request additional explanations or documents;
• to withdraw a published article;
