PUBLICATION ETHICS
The editorial policy of the Journal "Bulletin of the Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics" is based on the principles of academic integrity, transparency and responsibility in scientific publishing. The Journal adheres to international standards of publication ethics and is guided by the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and also supports the principles of the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA).
When accepting scientific articles for publication, the editorial board of a scientific journal evaluates the intellectual content of manuscripts regardless of the race, gender, sexual orientation, religious preferences, origin, citizenship, social status, or political preferences of the author(s).
The editorial policy of the Journal is based on the principles of objectivity and impartiality in the selection of articles for publication; high demands on the quality of scientific research; mandatory review of manuscripts; adherence to collegiality in making decisions about publication; accessibility and efficiency in communicating with authors; strict compliance with copyright and related rights.
The editorial board of the Journal ensures compliance with high standards of quality of scientific publications and ethical behavior of all participants in the editorial and publishing process – authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher.
Editors' responsibilities
The editors of the journal are responsible for:
• ensuring a fair and independent review process;
• making publication decisions based on scientific quality and relevance to the journal's topic;
• maintaining the confidentiality of the editorial process;
• preventing conflicts of interest;
• responding to cases of possible violations of publication ethics.
Authors' responsibilities
Authors must:
• submit original & authentic scientific papers;
• properly cite the sources used;
• do not submit a manuscript to several journals at the same time;
• ensure the reliability and accuracy of research results;
• report potential conflicts of interest;
• participate in correcting errors after publication.
Responsibilities of reviewers
Reviewers must:
• carry out objective and constructive evaluation of manuscripts;
• maintain the confidentiality of the information received;
• inform the editorial office about possible cases of plagiarism or duplication of publications;
• refuse to review in case of a conflict of interest.
