Requirements for scientific journal articles
"Bulletin of the Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics"


REQUIREMENTS FOR SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES:

1. Manuscripts of scientific articles that have not been previously published anywhere and have not been submitted to other publications are accepted for publication (on the last page of the manuscript of the article, the author must certify this with an appropriate phrase).

The article must be written on a relevant topic, contain the results of scientific research and justification of the obtained scientific conclusions in accordance with the purpose of the article (the task set), carefully read by the author, edited and sent to the editorial office by e-mail (subject of the letter: Article by Savchuk A.O. for the Bulletin of the ChITE) to the address nauk_v@chite.edu.ua

The following materials are to be enclosed to the article:

- information about the author in two languages (Ukrainian, English) on a separate sheet (full name, academic degree, academic title, position, personal e-mail of the author, telephone number for contact);

- review (for candidates of sciences – review of a doctor of sciences; for non-candidates – review of a doctor of sciences, doctors of sciences do not need to submit a review). The reviewer's signature must be certified by the institution's seal.

2. Language of publication – Ukrainian, English.

3. The article should include (with emphasis in the text) the following structural elements:

- statement of the problem in general terms and its connection with important scientific or practical tasks;

- analysis of recent research and publications in which the solution to this problem was initiated and on which the author relies (do not list the authors or their publications, but rather analyze what has been done in science, what has not, what scientists are right or wrong about, considering the relevant issues, etc.); indicate which problems have not been solved (or have been solved incorrectly);

- formulation of the goals of the article and argumentation of the relevance of the task you have set;

- presentation of the main material;

- conclusions from this study and prospects for further exploration in this direction;

- bibliographical references (at least 10 items);

- References, which are formatted in accordance with the requirements of the international bibliographic standard of the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ARTICLES

1. The article must contain:

- the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC), index, which is placed at the beginning of the article in the upper left corner of the page;

- JEL classification code (for accurate selection, provide 3-5 standard JEL codes in the upper left corner of the page, under the UDC);

- in the upper right corner – data about the author (surname and initials of the author (authors), scientific degree (if any), the name of the institution / organization, city);

- link to the author's page in the system https://orcid.org (unique 16-digit number, open researcher identifier);

- title of the article (center, 14 points, in bold);

- annotations in Ukrainian and in English (10 point, regular font);

- in Ukrainian, 300 words according to the structure below, in English - 1800 characters;

- keywords words) - up to 10 words, 10 points, the font is common;

(Surname and initials, title, abstract, keywords, file separate blocks in Russian and English, font - Times New Roman)

- file of the article should be prepared with a text editor Word. Do not use text styles, do not number pages. Words must be printed without hyphenation;

- text of the article should be clear, concise, number of tables, formulas and illustrations (diagrams, drawings, graphs, charts) – must be minimum and used only when necessary, when it significantly improves the content of the article makes it possible to understand it better and deeper in comparison with textual form of presentation;

- table should be compact, logically constructed, a short expressive title that accurately covers the subject and content of the table and be numbered. All data in the table should be typed in Times New Roman, 11 point type. Tables should not go beyond the page margins. Under each tab. and Fig. should be mentioned the source (Source:.);

- quotations, illustrations, digital data must be linked in the text in square brackets. Do not insert footnotes in the end of the document and in the end of pages;

- article should be not more than 7-12 pages of A4 size (14 points, line spacing - 1.5, lists of sources - through 1.0 interval), the page settings - 2.5 cm, paragraph - 1.25, do not use the tab button;

- graphic material should be made available in the programs for further editing: tables - in the editor Microsoft Word; Chart - Editor Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Graph; figures - with the help of the drawing editor of Microsoft Word;

- all files (article, information about the author, review must be named in English letters (Savchuk text, Savchuk reference, Savchuk review, Savchuk extract);

- the article and review should be submitted electronically to: nauk_v@chite.edu.ua

2. List of References

In Ukrainian and English-language articles, references to the sources used are provided in alphabetical order and are formatted in accordance with the requirements of the international bibliographic standard of American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition.

In Ukrainian-language articles, the list of sources used should consist of two blocks:

- sources in the original language, which are placed under the title "Bibliographic references", made in bold without quotes and without using CapsLock. The inscription is placed in the center of the page. The list is not numbered and is arranged in alphabetical order: first works in Cyrillic, then in Latin.

Sources in English are given in the original language, sources in other foreign languages that use the letters of the Latin alphabet are given in the original language, and in (parentheses) after the title of the work, its title in English is given.

- the same sources, but all in English (Ukrainian sources are translated, transliteration is not allowed), are placed under the title "References". The list is made in bold without quotes and without using CapsLock. The inscription is placed in the center of the page.

If the source cited is not in English, this should be indicated in parentheses. For example, if the source is in Ukrainian, it should be indicated: (in Ukr.); if the original article was published in Polish, it should be indicated: (in Pol.), etc.

In the list of bibliographic references, the second and subsequent lines of the description are formatted with an indent of 1.25 cm (overhanging margin indent). These parameters are set using text editors.

It is unacceptable to indicate a website or portal if the name of a specific document or author's article is missing.

It is mandatory to indicate active DOI identifiers of publications if available in the link format https://doi.org/*****. If the DOI is inactive or absent in the publication, it is mandatory to indicate the URL address (exclusively active).

The list should contain at least 10 sources.

3. Intratext Links

In-text references are formatted according to APA style for Ukrainian and English-language publications. The author's surname or title of the publication is given according to the spelling in the list of bibliographical references.

An in-text citation contains two main elements: the author and the date of publication. There are two types of in-text citations: parenthetical citations and narrative citations. They are formatted according to the following template:

References in brackets: (Author's last name, year)

Reference in the story: Author's last name (year)
